Design Inspiration

Everyday i work really hard at taking note of anything that inspires me as far as design, because it is the only way i can actually figure what exactly moves me, because in that i can find the answer on how i can move others with my work.

While strolling at the Promenade downtown Santa Monica in California I saw an amazing piece of art created to promote the new Range Rover Evoque. I was struck by how they chose to place this wire type frame of the cars design, as opposed the usual car promotion when they simply place the finished car for you to see. Instead, they placed a life-size wire frame mould of the actual design and with amazing lighting i couldn't help but drop my jaw. The wire frame was so perfect in showing the sleek curves the crossover has and it made me say to myself "I definitely gotta google this car to see what it looks like".

So here i am, i video taped it, then googled it and i loved it, what an elite piece of art! I think the design is flawless, the curves seductive and it screams passion yet looks so aggressive. Anyways check out the vid and see for yourself, maybe you can be inspired yourself or at least appreciate how they introduced this car with creativity and mystique.

Life's too short, never take yourself too seriously!

So I am back from my 7 day trip to the west coast! What a trip! I loved the west coast and planted so many seeds for BBB/met some great people and looks like I am going back there pretty soon.

I spent two nights in vegas working and trying to shop outlets for BBB, nothing solid yet but this is just the beginning.
Both nights after work I had so much fun, mostly driving around and clowning with my friends who came and supported me for the entire trip.

Here is a vid of my friend Ed and I being clowns (who needs strip clubs or gambling???) this was fun!
Life's too short so don't forget to laugh, live and learn!

First and foremost I would to officially say I am committing to my blog one more time :)

I am excited to announce that I have landed a great opportunity to design a limited edition t-shirt for The Malibu International Marathon 2010.
I get to design an official t-shirt to be sold at the Marathon Registration expo and as if that wasn't enough I also get to produce a fashion show the organization.

The Malibu International Marathon will be held on November 14, 2010 hosted by Forever Runners, an organization run by local Malibu residents that have a passion for running and other athletic endeavors. Their mission is to promote health and fitness through their website and fun athletic events. By bringing athletes from around the world together to achieve their athletic goals, Forever Runners builds new relationships, and raises money for charities such as: The Boys and Girls Club, Christopher’s Haven, Girls on the Run, Malibu Green Machine, Malibu Special Education Foundation, The Shark Fund, Future Leaders for Peace, and The Cornucopia Foundation.

So as always I am down to crunch time and am still in production of the t-shirts to be sold at the marathon.

I have about 48 hours before I board a plane and about 200 t-shirts left to print, not to mention pack, sort my line-up for the show, book models and more..... argghhh it should be interesting.... stay tuned!

Here is a video of the t-shirts hot off the press :)

BBB Is California Bound - California Love!

This is footage from my Boston Fashion Week runway show and also an ad for the Malibu Marathon which is featuring Bless By Bless as the official clothing line :)

Love the way this video shows the energy and attitude I have the models express on the runway. My line is not conventional so I don't want it shown in a conventional or formal way. I want it edgy, energetic, sexy and most of all fun and inspiring. It's all about the tude!

Can't wait for Malibu California - West Coast here comes BBB!

BMG Model Fancy Tracy Photo Shoot

I had the pleasure of working with one of my favorite models - Tracy Acholonu: so graceful, so elegant and yet poised and powerful.
Tracy is BMG model and she moves like a snake :). This was us having fun behind the scenes of our photo shoot. I used to video of us goofing off as an add for a fashion show I produced for Northshore Mall feat Zara, Nordstrom, Gap, Banana Republic, Cache, Metro Park and more...

Summer Love Volleball Tournament

This past summer I had so much fun when I decided to hold a charity volleyball tournament to raise funds for two kids who needed money to stay in school in Zimbabwe. I think education is a right we should all have access to because a lack of it breeds such unfortunate situations. I am lucky being born in Zimbabwe that I got to go to school and discover my passions and chase my dreams - thanks to my father for making that happen. Many of my relatives never got that opportunity.

Summer love Volleyball was one of the best events I have done, it was pure fun, pure love and it pushed the Bless By Bless mission and lifestyle of love and giving to a new horizon.

Enjoy!

Love Peace & BBB!

Behind The Scenes / Power Of Love Photo Shoot

This vid is from my shoot with model Aga - the idea was a to showcase the empowering vision I have for my line. My goal is a brand Bless By Bless as sexy, edgy, empowering and inspiring.

I was rally showcasing my couture shorts in this photo shoot so to being focus on the shorts I simply wrapped a mettallic mesh material on the mode for a bra - what we didn't realize was the strobes made the mesh semi see-through haha! oops! wardrobe malfunction - but here it is anyways!
